Independent subcontractor
You’re one person — the account admin and the consultant in a single login. Follow the steps below to build your own resume and get working.
Placing your employee
Your firm registers with a back-office admin, then chooses “I’m placing someone” and enters their name and email. We invite them, and you build their resume right away — so it can go live without waiting for them to log in. They can refine it whenever they get to it.

Create your account on the free Solo Sub plan
Sign up, choose Provide Consulting, and pick the free Solo Sub plan. Solo Sub is built for individuals and firms who work through other consulting companies rather than directly with hiring companies.

Follow the guided setup
From your dashboard, tell us whether you’re the consultant or you’re placing someone, and we’ll walk you through the rest: your resume (title, summary, skills), then connecting your Stripe payout account. It only asks for what’s still missing, and you can leave and come back — it picks up where you left off. If a prime invited you, the last step writes their offer for you with the rate you agreed already on it.

Your resume goes live
The moment your resume is complete and your payout account is verified, we take it live and email you. Stripe verification sometimes takes a few hours; you go live as soon as it clears. Until it’s live a prime can’t put you on an engagement, so this is the step that unblocks everything else.

Fine-tune your availability
An availability period is created for you automatically (40 hrs/week). Adjust your hours and date ranges, and add time off, so primes see your real capacity.

Connect with a prime firm
Send an offer to a prime you already know, or wait for the subcontracting request from the firm that invited you — once your resume is live they can raise it without you doing anything else. The rate on your offer becomes your floor — the prime can pay above it on a given engagement, never below — and you confirm with an e-signature.

Work flows through the prime
Once active, you appear to clients under the prime’s brand at their client rate, while you’re paid the sub rate named on that engagement — never below the floor you agreed. Linked assignments, invoices, and payouts are handled automatically, and Prilet takes nothing out of what the prime pays you.

Common questions
Can I register my firm and place one of my employees?
Yes. Register your company (the person signing up becomes the admin), then choose “I’m placing someone” and enter their name and email. We send them an invitation, and you build their resume straight away — title, summary and skills — so it goes live without waiting for them. They can refine it when they log in. It’s still free on Solo Sub.
Why isn’t my resume live yet?
Something on the checklist is still open. A resume goes live once it has a title, summary, at least one skill, and a verified Stripe payout account — and Stripe verification is the usual culprit, since it can take a few hours after you finish its form. We take it live and send an email the moment the last piece lands. Reopen the setup from your dashboard to see exactly what’s outstanding.
Can I place more than one person?
On the free Solo Sub plan you can have one active consultant at a time. You can add several people to your account, but only one can be actively engaged at once. When an engagement ends you can swap to another person. To run more than one at the same time, upgrade to the Agency plan.
What’s the difference between Solo Sub and Solo Pro?
Solo Sub is free and for subcontracting work only — a prime brings you onto their engagement, and you don’t bill the end client yourself. Solo Pro lets you hold your own client agreements and send those clients offers. Both support one active consultant at a time. See the consulting guide.
Does the end client know I’m a subcontractor?
Not from Prilet. You appear to the prime’s client under the prime’s brand and at the prime’s rate, and your own rate is never shown to them. Whether the prime tells them is the prime’s call, not the platform’s.
Who sets my rate, and what does the prime charge?
You name your rate on the offer you send the prime, so it can be different for each one. That rate becomes your floor. For each engagement the prime names what they'll actually pay you — at or above it — on the same offer they price their client with, so a better-paying client can mean a better rate for you without renegotiating anything. You see the rate on the assignment before you accept it. Prilet takes no cut of it — what the prime pays is what you invoice.
How do I get paid?
After your hours are approved, your firm invoices the prime at the sub rate on that assignment. When the prime pays that invoice on its due date, your payout is sent to your connected bank account (minus Stripe’s transfer fee). You’re paid on your agreed terms with the prime — it does not wait on the end client paying the prime, and your sub leg can even be on a faster cadence than the prime’s client invoices.
Is my bank information safe?
Your bank details go to Stripe, not to Prilet. Prilet never stores them, and your payouts land in your own Stripe account. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level there is — and moves money for millions of businesses, from Amazon to Shopify. How payments are secured.
Do I need a paid plan?
No — Solo Sub is completely free.
How do I start working directly with clients?
Upgrade to Solo Pro, which lets you create agreements with hiring companies and send them offers yourself. The consulting guide covers that path.
